Torre del Mar is situated just 20 minutes drive from Malaga Airport and just 20 minutes from the world famous holiday resort of Nerja and the famouse Nerja Caves and there are lots of things to do.
Driving from Malaga heading east on the A7 Autopista towards Motril you will go past Rincon-de-la-Victoria, Iznate, and then Torre del Mar you will exit the Motorway by the big shopping Mall that is situated by the Aquavelis Aqua Park in Torre del Mar one of the main attractions to Torre del Mar is the promenade and the pristine beach lined with palm tree's feature fountains.
As you drive into Torre del Mar you will go over a series of bumps in the road by the school after the bumps you need to stay in the right hand lane and go through traffic lights then after 1200 metres turn left just after the Car Showroom on your right, go straight over the roundabout and you are on Avd Torre Torre this will take you down to the beach.
Along the sea fron you will find some fantastic bars such as Sunrise Beach and Clada Irish Pub, they do a mean breakfast! (ask for the Big Irish Breakfast) and say that "Jason recommended you" If Sports is your thing then a visit to Howards Bar in Torre del Mar is highly recommended.
If you drive along the seafront there are lots of icrecream parlours, bicycle hire, cafe's and just before the road turns into one way traffic heading east if you turn left there are some fantastic fish restaurants serving freahly caught fish often caught that morning in Porto de Caleta There are lovely beaches in Torre del Mar with a long beachfront promenade with lovely views all along the coast and of the stunning hills and mountains dotted with white washed houses and prety villages. Two and a half kilometres to the east there is a fishing port and marina at Porto de Caleta. This Port is unlike the glitzy Port of Puerto Banus as it is still a working port where fishermen earn a living and usually set sale as early as 4am. If you drive out of Torre del Mar heading North towards Velez-Malaga you will find you way up to Lake Vinuela and Puente Don Manuel.

The Aqua Velis Water Park is the largest water park in the Axarquia region of the Costa del Sol and is located opposite the El Ingenio shopping mall in Torre del Mar.
Aqua Velis has over 20 different rides including an inflatable ring ride and two super-fast slides. There are also rides for younger children and two large pools (one with a wave machine) and a children’s pool.
Other facilities include a cafeteria with large terrace serving food and drinks and a large grass area for sunbathing.
For a small additional charge sun beds can be hired for the day and there are also lockers available for keeping valuables safe, again a small charge is made for these.
