Concrete bases.

Unlike some Companies in Spain all of our concrete bases start of with pre-cast concrete kerb stones, our bases start with four of these concreted together usually dug in to the ground and in a garden or when place on a roof terrace we use a special liquid concrete "taco" that is guaranteed to support up to 1500 Kilos. All of our concrete bases use a minimum of 4 pre-cast concrete kerb stones that are designed and engineered to be strong enough to withstand a car smashing in to them at high speed. It is impossible to hand mix concrete during a satellite installation to the same quality as used in the pre-cast process as the Manufacturer of these kerb stones manufacturers them to a very tight level of quality.

Filming has begun! MRSKYTV.COM will be featured on a new TV Documentary about running a Business in Spain.

Not only do we install British TV but we will very shortly be on it! Filming started two weeks ago with a TV Crew following both of our installation teams and a fly on the wall look at our premises. The TV show will focus on 7 different businesses in Spain that are managed by British business people that have left the UK for a new life in the sun.

Filming has been great fun, we have opened the doors to every aspect of the business and the TV show illustrates just how much dedication and commitment the team at MRSKYTV.COM put in on a day to day basis. Having the TV crew with us certainly assisted when we where negotiating the rent of our new Gandia SKY TV Showroom.

Our web design team who are constantly having to make changes to our websites due to other Companies copying all of our SEO techniques and copying how we market ourselves on the web, and have shown how our competitors are constantly viewing our pages and copying who we work with as we know there ip addresses. All of the web design team enjoyed the days filming and the chance to show how much time and effort is required to stay one step ahead of the competition.

We are unable to mention anything else however we will be notifying all clients when the TV show is going to be broadcasted.

The curved edge of the block allows the water to drain away so that water is not left laying on top of the concrete, when this happens the concrete base will eventually fail, that is unless the bracket rusts away first as the water cannot drain away.

Unless water can drain away you will eventually have a problem, all of our concrete bases are GUARANTEED FOR 10 YEARS. the big heavy kerb stones we use will never fail or crumble unlike hand mixed concrete or cement, due to Hot summers, cold winters and rainy spells the only 100% reliable way of securing a dish is with Commercial grade concrete manufactured in a factory not hand mixed in your garden. All of the concrete blocks we use are manufactured using an electro hydraulic process which uses both vibration and compaction in high precision steel moulds to deliver very heavy concrete blocks that will never fail. We have been using these blocks for many years and whilst it may mean having two people to carry we are guaranteed that the dish is safe & secure.

Below are examples of concrete bases that WE DO NOT SUPPLY.

This is a lightweight breeze block base.

This is a concrete plinth that has been made using lightweight concrete blocks that are easy to carry but a waste of time when securing a 1.9 Satellite dish long term, you will notice that water will not drain away as the plinth has a flat surface. The base has no dead weight and uses hand mixed cement instead of concrete that has been injection moulded.

The metal bracket is simply sitting underneath the plinth it is not bolted to anything and relies on the plinth that will eventually crack up fail and allow the dish to fall over.

Wooden framed plinth

This is a concrete plinth that has been made using a wooden frame that then has hand mixed concrete poured in and left to set for a couple of days, you will notice that again water will simply sit on top of the base it cannot drain away. This type of plinth do not have any heavy weight.

The bracket usually sits under or on top and due to lack of drainage and design is not suitable for Spain and should be avoided at all costs.

Our concrete base using four concrete blocks.

Wall mounted dishes.

We are happy to wall mount dishes when there is no other option, we can use long bolts that will go all the way through the wall so that the dish will never move and or we use a liquid concrete that we pump in to walls that have been built with the weaker red bricks.

First we drill the holes and insert a special perforated plastic sleeve that when the resin is pumped in will help it disperse all around the inside of the brick we then slide in the bolts that then when the liquid hardens they will never come out and are rock solid.

As you can see the bracket is attached to the concrete blocks using expander bolts. The blocks are laid down on a concrete base and place in to position whilst using the spirit level to ensure they are level. Once the two centre blocks are perfect we then lay two more blocks one either end and then use concrete around all of the edges and sides, the bracket will never come loose, the concrete blocks will never fail or move as they are very very heavy are designed to withstand cars smashing in to them.
