I have just had to purchase a new laptop today as my hard drive on my Sony Vaio Notebook decided to pack up on me three days ago. I unfortunately could not wait to have a new hard drive installed and or try and see if Sony would cough up a new hard drive although the notebook cost over £3'000 just under three years ago.

You simply must back up your data regularly or purchase a back up hard drive that will constantly back up an automated copy of all your documents. I have been looking at the Maxtor "one touch" that automatically copies everything that is on your computer or laptop so should you be unfortunate enough to have your hard drive pack up on you a copy of all of your files and programs have been safely and automatically copied onto your back up hard drive.

Having been given the bad News by one of the very understanding & sympathetic technicians at Ibertech Computer Solutions that my hard drive was not working and that it was faulty and leaving me without a laptop I decided to buy a new one.

I was impressed by the endless display of Microsoft certified certificates on the wall and the friendly and helpful staff that I decided that this would be a good place to purchase a new laptop! Plus should I have any problems I could go back to them rather than using an online seller or a big retailer where you very rarely get any personal service.

I purchased a Sony Vaio VGN-AR71M and managed to negotiate a bit of a discount having mentioned that I worked for "The Guide to Spain" and ended up buying a new mouse, a router and a wireless router all of this kit was set up in the shop by one of the technicians and ready to go for when I got home including adding a user name and password so that my neighbors could not access my wireless network. I also ended up buying a laptop bag to put my new laptop into.

I have now got over the shock of my old Vaio hard drive packing up and am enjoying my new laptop, plus I am confident that should I have any problems I can pop back to Ibertech and get it sorted!
